It is best to clean the watch to remove dirt. You can clean the external parts by wiping them with a moist, microfiber cloth or using a soft toothbrush and mild detergent. Avoid using a brush with hard bristles as it can scratch the glass and steel case.

Also, give it a freshwater bath after a dip in the sea to remove saltwater. It is a safe way to prevent corrosion (even if it is designed to resist it). If internal cleaning is needed, take it to an authorized watch shop to avoid damage.

Some watches have components that can be affected by extreme heat and magnetism. As a precaution, it is recommended not to expose the timepiece to any intense heat or strong magnetic fields to prevent the watch from malfunctioning.

In dive watches, the crown is not just for setting the time. It is also used as a seal to prevent water from entering. Remember to always screw it down before jumping into the water.

Under ISO 6425, watches with the resistance of at least 100 meters are already ideal for diving. Always check the watch’s water resistance before diving to prevent any damage to the timepiece.
